أسس د/ واصف احمد فاضل كابلي مجموعة الكابلي التجارية من نواة مؤسسته في عام 1966م، كانت بداية نشاطه في مجال الألعاب والملبوسات والمواد الغذائية في المنطقة الغربية بالمملكة العربية السعودية، ثم تخصصت المجموعة في مجال إستيراد وتوزيع الحلويات و انتشرت فروع المجموعة لتغطي كافة أنحاء المملكة لتخدم كافة الأذواق والمستويات من خلال منتجاتها عالية الجودة.

حرصت مجموعة الكابلي على أن تكون سياستها العامة والرئيسية هي تقديم منتجات تحمل أسماء شركات رائدة في مجال الحلويات والبسكويت والشوكولاته. وحفاظاً على أن تغطي خدماتنا جميع أنحاء المملكة ،حرصت المجموعة على الوصول إلى العميل حيثما كان، فكانت فروعها الأحدى عشر اضافة الى مكاتب البيع الفرعية السبعة هي القناة التي تصل بين هذه المنتجات وبين عملائنا في أنحاء المملكة .
